Welcome to The Graduate School at the University of North Dakota. The Graduate School enrolls approximately 2,000 Masters and Doctoral students and offers programs in 53 different areas. Steeped in the liberal arts tradition, The Graduate School offered some of the first post-baccalaureate programs in the northern Great Plains. Today, we offer a diverse array of graduate programs serving not only the people of North Dakota, but the world. Interactive delivery modes allow us to offer distance courses throughout the state in areas such as business, education, and public administration. Our online Masters program in Space Studies is just one of our offerings delivered worldwide. Resident students are able to enjoy the four-season beauty of the northern plains while studying under the tutelage of outstanding faculty. Major U.S. and Canadian cities, lakes, mountains, state and national parks are all within a short drive. Experiential learning opportunities are available in most areas that allow our students to apply their skills away from the classroom setting.

Those seeking an advanced education in Aviation, Space Studies, Computer Science or Atmospheric Sciences will find UND’s John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences is widely considered the best school of its kind in the world.

Our School of Engineering and Mines offers graduate studies in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Geological and Mechanical Engineering.  Widely respected for their commitment to teaching, the faculty in Engineering and Mines view the research laboratory as an extension of the classroom where research and teaching coexist.
