The base salary for nine month half-time Graduate Teaching Assistants will not change for FY09.For budget planning purposes, the minimal GTA salary (half-time appointment) is as follows:

         

Master's Level - $11, 803.52
Doctoral Level - $14, 266.10


Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Service Assistant base salaries will remain the same as FY07 since these were not included in this year's appropriations. However, should you have funds available and wish to increase these stipends, you are encouraged to do so.

It is requested that programs establish consistent GRA/GSA stipends to maintain equity. Exceptions may be granted for students funded through training grants, extramural fellowships or other similar programs.
